About Micia Mosely
As a comedic actor, writer, and educator, Pharmicia (Micia) M. Mosely has drawn on her Brooklyn roots and passions for theater and improvisational comedy to create a unique blend of humor, political astuteness, and versatility in every performance. She works to make sure that her audiences are left
with a sore funny bone, a stimulated mind and a full heart.A proud graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, Mosely also received her Ph.D. in education, with a focus on Social and Cultural Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
During the past 10 years, she has performed in front of diverse audiences ranging from theaters and high schools to clubs and art festivals. With perfect comedic timing, spontaneous creativity, and a wealth of social and cultural knowledge, she illustrates how one can use art to make a positive impact on the lives of people and society at large. Micia also has over 10 years of experience in education including leading whole school reform efforts as well as training teachers and coaching administrators. She also has advanced training as a researcher and practitioner in urban education.
